 A partnership of Heartland Foundation, Heartland Health, and North
Kansas City Hospital, Healthy Partnerships offers matching grants
for collaborative initiatives in northwest Missouri to explore new,
innovative ideas to impact critical health issues. Currently, Healthy
Partnerships focuses on new ideas for cardiovascular health and
asthma. Projects supported include:
- A school-based program in Tarkio that includes a Healthy Heart
Challenge combining nutrition education and physical fitness activities
- A cardiovascular disease prevention program for seriously at-risk,
mentally ill clients under the care of Family Guidance
- A prevention program to engage northwest Missouri youth in advocating
for tobacco-free environments
