The Healthy Communities Regional Investor Council continually focuses on improving quality of life in northwest Missouri. Access to state of the art technology infrastructure in the region is critical for growth and to stop out-migration. The Technology Infrastructure Task Force's goal was to determine the extent to which technology infrastructure is an issue in this region and to develop a current state map and catalog of technology infrastructure. This was completed in June of 2006.
Affordable access to the Internet has become a huge quality of life issue and people often mistakenly believe that living in rural America means giving up this tremendous communication tool and source of information. As part of our Healthy Communities initiative, a website has been created by Midwest Data to provide users with information, in one location, regarding area Internet service providers (ISPs) and the costs associated with each.
